WEATHER

Weather Notes: A very intense storm was located over northern Iowa this evening and the moisture from this system is trying to move our way. Meanwhile a ridge of high pressure just to the north of Maine is doing its best to keep us dry. The battle between the two systems is going to continue for the next couple of days. This should result in mostly sunny weather over northern and central Maine and mostly cloudy weather over southern New Hampshire and in York county where there may even be a few afternoon showers on Saturday. By Sunday the high moves a little farther away as the storm gets closer and the computer models are suggesting some rainfall for most of New Hampshire up to Coos County and also for southwest Maine up to about Augusta. The storm is then expected to move off to the east allowing all areas to see sunshine on Monday.
